FRIENDS
John
I met John on my first day at West Newton Elementary, after I had switched schools. That day, I simply made a few jokes and then John asked me to sit by him at lunch. Turns out John had lunch-detention that day. I sat with him at lunch the next day. Over the rest of that sixth-grade school-year, John continued to get lunch detentions at a rate that peaked to being near-daily. Fortunately, me and John's friendship survived that sixth-grade school-year. Soon, the seventh-grade school-year arrived. And then, the eighth-grade school-year.
As far as I'm concerned, the seventh and eighth grade school-years ran together for my friendship with John. Both of the school-years, we had the same homeroom, and rode the same bus, and typically only talked during homeroom, and on the bus, with the occasional conversation between passing-periods. Early into my eighth-grade year, me and John began working together on a project that was required. We worked on that project one hour every Wednesday. Quite frankly I enjoyed those weekly sessions in which we worked on that project, as we spent most of the time talking and got very little work done as result. In my eighth-grade year, shortly before election day, I left DMS, and as a result I did not see John until Spring Break..
I saw John during Spring Break as a result of me messaging one of my old friends from DMS. The old friend in question gave me John's home-phone number. I soon called John's home-phone and one thing led to another, and the next thing I know I'm hanging-out with John at my mom's apartment. We hung-out for three days and two nights. One of those nights we stayed up until seven in the morning. It was awesome.

Dakota
I met Dakota on the same day I met John. Unlike John, I did not have to make any jokes to secure our friendship, instead, Dakota was simply told to show me the ropes of West Newton. I stuck by Dakota and he stuck by me. We often bonded over a game called 'Skyrim'. I have no doubt that without that, our friendship would have toppled.
The first real test of Dakota's friendship was in sixth-grade, when a fellow sixth-grader, named Jonah, decided to start bullying me at every chance that they got. Naturally, Jonah's friends followed through and bullied me also. Dakota defended me and stuck by me even closer than he had before. I believe that that moment is when I finally realized that I had a friend for life.
Soon, seventh grade rolled around, and I still had Dakota by my side. I continued to stick by Dakota. Every day through seventh and the first quarter of eighth-grade, me and Dakota hung-out at the lunch-table and in band class. It was a result of band class that me, Dakota, and the majority of the DMS band went to King's Island, where I had the best day of my life.
After King's Island, Summer Break came, and after Summer Break, Eighth-grade. I was glad to be back with John, Dakota, and the rest of my friends. I continued to stick around Dakota and the rest of my friends, and I constantly grew closer to them. For a while I was perfectly happy with everything in my life. Then, as a result of a victory in a court case, I was ripped away from Dakota and the rest of my friends.
I wasn't able to say goodbye to Dakota, and I haven't seen or talked to him since. Fortunately though, I do expect to see him during the summer as a result of some of my other friends from DMS telling me that they are getting it so that he can contact me and I can contact him.

Jake
I haven't known Jake for long, about than six months in fact. I don't know too many things about him, and he doesn't know too many things about me. To be completely honest, I haven't thought of Jake as a friend or even a possible friend until less than a couple of weeks ago. In him, I sense the same feeling of friendship and sameness that I first felt when I had met Dakota. I look forward to getting to know Jake in the near future. However, he does have a girlfriend that would best be described as 'clingy', who may limit me getting to actually become a bonafide friend of Jake, and vice-versa.
