MY FAMILY
My mother
My mother is... Well she's my mother. As much as I would like to put a bunch of positives about her and say how great she is, I can't, because that would be lying. The fact of the matter is, one of the few truly positive things that I can say about my mother is that she is extremely hard-working. Without a high-school diploma or college degree, my mother is forced to work various low-paying jobs, from which she often gets fired from before she is hired by a different company. Another one of the few positives about my mom is that she is extremely devoted to me and my brother to the point where nearly everything she does is with what she believes to be our best interests in mind. Sadly though, this same devotion has led her to do many terrible things, including moving me and my brother up to Camby, and fighting to keep custody in a court of law despite everybody, including me, my brother, and my father, fighting against her to change custody. When the custody battle ended, my mother said that she would continue fighting to keep me and my brother. This fighting forced my father to take me and my brother up to his place in the middle of the night after my mom had left for work. Sadly, my mom is still stuck in the past mentally, believing that she can still hold on to me and my brother, when in reality, she had lost the battle for me and my brother long ago.
My father
My father is unique to say the least. He graduated high school in 1978, the peak year of drug use among highschoolers. After that, he attended college for eight years, studying to be a math teacher, and then studying to be a store manager. My dad was the victim of horrible timing, so he decided to go into work with his brother as a house painter.
My dad met my mother via an early version of online dating-sites, which was on a newspaper. Needless to say, my father has some hilarious stories about the early days of dating my mother. Just as he was realizing that dating my mother might not be the wisest of choices, he found out that she was pregnant with my brother. They married soon after. Can someone say shotgun-wedding?
After my brother was born, my parents had me three years later. And about four years after I was born my parents divorced. From there on, my father became embroiled in a long-delayed custody case that he ended up winning, with me and my brother's full support. I should also mention that my dad went on a sixth month stay in prison as result of violation of probation when I was in fifth grade.
Nowadays, my father is a stark conservative Christian who has instilled many of those same values in me. Thankfully, he has not instilled his great many conspiracy theories in me. My dad is also extremely understanding, forgiving, and reasonable, which really does make it easy to actually have intelligent conversations with him (when he isn't watching T.V. or music from a bygone era).

My brother
My brother is quite possibly the world's smartest idiot. He has gotten straight A's his entire life, and has been physically fit his entire life. He has had at least five girlfriends since Second-grade, and only one of those girlfriends were kept for any length of time more than six months. And the one girlfriend of his that he did keep for more than six months, was quite possibly insane. He plays the flute in band, which certainly contributes to the fact that he is now friendzoned by almost every girl that he meets. He is currently in the tenth-grade, and is in choir, and as I have already stated, he plays the flute in band. He has also crashed his first car while driving without a learner's permit at one A.M. while a friend of his was staying the night. Needless to say, that friend is now expelled and facing prison time (as a result of the friend in question sending a dick-pic to his girlfriend on a school iPad). Another one of my brother's past friends is now a highschool drop-out and addicted to meth. The meth-addict has not spoken to me or my brother for several years, might I add.
Me and my brother are not very close, as I am much closer to my friends John and Dakota. But we are also not distant, after all, we're family.
